Saturday we made a trip to DC. We had a priority list of what to see and we were able to see them all. First, we went to Arlington Cemetery and watched the changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Then, we went to
the National Mall where we saw the Lincoln Memorial and the Vietnam Memorial. Then we went up and saw the White House and finally we stopped by the National Archives to check out The Decleration and the Constitution. These were all great to see. We all so had a professional tour guide to help us. Carol's aunt Joyce, showed us around her city. It was Carol's last time to see her for two years but it was good she was able to see her. On the lighter side of things we found out a couple of things from the trip. One, Bradyn does not know how to work a turnstile. At one stop we waited about five minutes until she finally figured out she was trying to enter through the exit. We also found out that if you don't keep track of Gary you may lose him. At one of the subway stops Gary came very close to hoping on the wrong subway without us. We laughed for a long time about that one. We all had this image in our minds of us standing on the platform as the Metro whizzed away with Gary. Needless to say it was a
wonderful trip.
