As you may have noticed, most of these posts have been by Blake and Carol, none from us. Well, there's a simple explanation for that...they're a lot funnier. But now they are long gone and we are still in the States taking it easy. We had an awesome Christmas - perhaps one of the BEST family Christmases I've ever had. On my side we had all of the traditions in place: a full day of cooking and Christmas movie watching on Christmas Eve, going to see Christmas lights at night, coffee cake on Christmas morning...couldn't have been better! On Gary's side we had the full Christmas meal with ALL of the family gathered at his parents house. Emmy got way more stuff than we can possibly pack in our 6 bag luggage allowance! Maybe one of the best things was when Gary wrapped his brother's present with a rotten banana inside...don't ask me why...it's Gary.
We would like to report all of the words that Emmy is saying now: duck, night-night, mama, banana, dada, moo, dog, cat, and something that resembles "grandma". She can also: twirl, bow her head to pray, pant like a puppy dog, signal touchdown, shake her head 'yes', play peek-a-boo, and say 'eat', 'please', and 'thank you' in sign language. All in all, I'd say we're pretty much raising a baby genius.
Oh yeah, one more thing...we're having another one!!! We're only about 8 weeks along and are asking for every single pr that you would ask on our behalf. We are going to need it!
We still have one more week until we leave, but it's going to be a busy one. We have my little sister's wedding to plan and pull off at my parent's house. We are looking forward to this last bit of quality time with our families, but are eager to join our friends at our new home!

enjoy your last week here in the states. Congratulations on your new addition!! I'm sure it is scary to think of another adjustment but you will be fine. Know you all are in our thoughts. Have a safe trip.
Bradyn: I am so glad we were able to see you at your mom's house before you left! We really enjoyed the time and we are going to check the blog often to keep up with all of you!
