I don't think the Arabic language was ready for class with us. This past week has been a review week since we are coming to the end of our official language school. This blog is about some of the topics we have covered. Two days ago we had an entire lesson on texting in Arabic. See, the problem is that we write in Arabic letters but texting can only be done using our English (or French) letters. So we have to transliterate which is really hard to do. Some of the Arabic letters are numbers in texting. So we had to learn! Especially since it's really hard to speak Arabic on the phone so texting is so much easier.
Today we discussed OU's upcoming football schedule and we had a debate on whether or not the Tony Romo/Jessica Simpson breakup will benefit or hurt the Dallas Cowboys this year. Blake and our teacher were on one side and the rest of us were on the other. We also played a game where we spin a pen and whoever it lands on has to answer any question the class wants to ask. Bradyn asked me "If you could go back to America for one day, what would you do?" Without elaborating on how this was possible, I decided that I would eat Braums, Sonic, Chili's, and Cracker Barrel, drive to DFW to see people there, play in a soccer game, and have a picnic with all of my friends on the South Oval. Sounds like a great day to me!

Sounds like a wonderful and entirely possible day to me! And I would be less concerned about Romo/Simpson and more concerned about Jerry Jones'new reality tv show.
