So, because our country is so close to Europe, everyone here dresses European. But, because they can't afford to buy designer brands, at the souk, merchants sell lots of fake designer clothes. I have seen Channel bags, Dolcy and Gabbana sunglasses, and Louis Vitone shoes for sale. All very cheap, in both senses of the word! Check out a couple of fakes we have that we have purchased. The soccer ball has two issues with it!
A funny story: last summer we were talking to one of our language teachers and she was telling us about how the big thing in Europe was the man-purse. She said you could tell what was in fashion in Europe by going to McDonalds and watching all of the people from Europe and their families from here. Sure enough, 90% of the men in the restaurant were wearing man-purses. It was really funny!
