How Much Furniture Does It Take To Change A Lightbulb

Funny Story, Our light went out in our kitchen and the ceilings here are literally like fifteen foot high. A lot of houses here have the light fixtures coming out of the wall because of this. Ours however do not. So, I went and asked the owner if he had a ladder I could borrow. I felt sure that he would have one. He told me he didn't have one so I asked him how I could change the light bulb in my kitchen without a ladder. He began to explain it to me with a rather serious look on his face. "First, take a table, then put a chair on top of the table." I cracked a half smile because of the serious way that he said this. I went away stumped as to how I might change my light safely. In the end I pushed a dresser into the kitchen and I was able to change it. Let me know which ladder you prefer.

I would prefer the dresser, but only if I have a ladder to get on top of it.

I'd go for the ladder . . . although the dresser seems a little more stable.
