Make It Work!

The famous Tim Gunn line from Project Runway applies to celebrating Christmas in a country where it is not celebrated. So we make it work. We've made paper snowflakes and hung up a strand of lights. We took it to another level today by making cookies and popcorn strands. My family has always made cookies together so I baked about 4 dozen sugar cookies and then took them over to our friends' house. They have four kids who were willing to help us out with the decorating. It was really fun for us and for them! We all donned our Christmas aprons and got to work! It was wierd to be in the motherly role of keeping the frosting supply up and regulating the color-mixing. They turned out pretty great as you can see for yourselves.
