We Are Alive And Kickin'!

It's almost midnight, but I wanted to blog to let everyone know that we are still here! So busy, but still here! Here's a recap of the last week or so:

Thursday: Travel to the largest city in the country to pick up Gary's mom and so they can go to the consulate and make Logyn official. Gary's mom is delayed so we all head to visit our friends in the capital city and eat at TGIF and shop.

Friday: Gary's mom actually arrives after a nightmare trip. Blake and I catch a train to the city we used to live and the others arrive later that day.

Saturday: Bradyn scrambles trying to get things ready for a goodbye gift for one of our co-workers who is leaving us next week. We have a staff meeting and then Bradyn and I lead games for the good-bye party.

Sunday: We meet together as a group and Gary and Bradyn head back to our city.

Monday: Blake and I help another girl move out of her apartment and then after a long day, we head back to our city, arriving at midnight.

Tuesday: Unpack and then volleyball/basketball at the boys and girls' home in town.

Wednesday: Spend all day preparing to teach a cold/flu lesson. The girls meet together before the lesson, then teach it to about 10 women, and then go have tea with them and their families.

Thursday: Blake and I head out to the countryside and spent the day with a farmer and his family (more on this in a later blog...) and then come home just in time to do another round of volleyball/basketball.

Friday: Gary and Bradyn are off to another touristy city to show Gary's mom the sights. Blake and I head up to another village to spend some time with a family (the one with the mute woman) and then have the kids of another co-worker over.

It has been a very fun and exhausting whirlwind and we are getting ready for Christmas on top of all of that! Things have definately picked up and we are excited to have so much to do. Thanks for keeping up with us and thinking of us. We miss all of you and hope you are enjoying the Season!
