As if Butcher Shops Weren't Gross Enough

This picture is of the market here. You can buy fruits and veggies, olives and spices, and meat. I didn't put a picture of the meat, because frankly, it's gross to walk by and see slabs of cow or lamb just hanging from hooks. I buy my meat from the grocery store, which is a little easier on the stomach. There's something about refrigeration that makes you feel better about meat.

So the point of this entry is a story. A very very gross story. We were walking by a butcher shop and the butcher drove up in his car. He walked around the car, popped the trunk and pulled out a huge slab of meat...like the ribcage of a cow or something. Out of his trunk! It was disgusting for two reasons: 1. Someone is going to be buying that meat to eat. 2. His trunk must smell terrible!
